It establishes the concept of studies of web culture and arts as a new academic field and grasps the conditions for production and acceptance of web culture and arts. Through brainstorming, students will understand the characteristics and cultural values of sub-genres of web culture and arts such as web novels, webtoons, web dramas, game narratives, and YouTube contents.

This course deals with watching and analyzing original dramas and movies of OTT service. The OTT service, a platform the appeared in earnest in the 21st century, changed the paradigm of the culture surrounding the production and consumption of video contents. Therefore, this course learns the trends of 21st century video culture through the appreciation and analysis of OTT services provided in Korea, especially OTT original dramas and movies.

The purpose of this course is to analyze various contents of K-culture and to understand the characteristics of Korean language and Korean culture appearing in various cultural phenomena.

Learn the basic methodology for creating web novels. And understand the web platform-based web novel production and acceptance process. Understand the characteristics and flow of web novels through appreciation of contemporary major web novels. Based on this, each student envisions and creates a web novel.

Web dramas, created by the combination of internet media and drama genres, require a high level of creative competency in that they have to contain dramatic tension in a short amount of time. Therefore, this course consists of directly experiencing the entire process of pre-production, production, post-productio, from script creation of web dramas to video production.

Understand the concept and characteristics of animation. Appreciating the major works of Eastern and Western animation, and understanding the universe and cultural specificity expressed in them. Based on this, we cultivate creative imagination and narrative composition as an animation storyteller.

For this, students undergo creative training ranging from synopsis-treatment-scenario/script. The created scenario/script is revised after joint evaluation by professors and students. Through this, the scenario/script at the final production level is completed.

It critically analyzes the lyrics of Korean popular music, which has been in the spotlight all over the world. By extensively examining the linguistic expressions, structures, and methods of use in K-pop lyrics, the cultural meanings are grasped. Through this, we understand the characteristics of Korean language and its effects in K-pop.

The purpose is to create a complete web novel and serialize it on a web platform. Identify the characteristics and reactions of major readers of the web novel serialization platform. In addition, the popularity factors of existing serialized web novels are analyzed from the aspect of narrative. Based on this, a creative web novel is completed and serialized on a web platform.

Understand the concepts and characteristics of popular culture. Students learn about media as conditions for cultural production and the perception of cultural audiences as subjects of cultural practice. Based on this, grasp the value and meaning of K-Culture in the 21st century, and use it as the basis for new cultural production.

Understand the basic theory of editing techniques first, and then grasp actual works of broadcasting and publication related to editing techniques.

Based on the Basics for Broadcast Writing, learn the components of current affairs and educational programs focusing on actual writing techniques.

Understand the current status and characteristics of single-person media. By watching the main YouTube content, we understand the production and acceptance process. Based on this, we plan and produce actual YouTube content.
